Job Description
The Role:
As a Flow Room Technician, you'll partner with the on-site operations team, ensuring the smooth system and product flow to exceed operational KPIs across designated areas, working closely with warehouse operatives, flow room colleagues, shift and section managers, supervisors, trainee supervisors and the IT, and engineering teams.
With a lead technician, you will oversee the day-to-day running of the systems, reporting any faults, prioritising waves in line with the daily plan, and providing recommendations to optimise operations.
You will also be analysing data in real-time, capturing data from our systems into trackers, monitoring forecasts, and investigating and communicating risks and missed targets to the lead technician.
Shift pattern: 4 on 4 off rotation Days/Nights
Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and manage system and product flow across designated warehouse areas to support operational KPI delivery.

Work closely with warehouse operatives, other Flow Room colleagues, supervisors, managers, IT, and Engineering teams to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Support the Lead Technician in overseeing the daily running of warehouse systems and operational processes.

Identify, report, and escalate system faults, working with relevant teams to minimise disruption.

Prioritise operational waves in line with the daily plan and business requirements.

Provide recommendations to improve efficiency, productivity, and system performance.

Analyse operational data in real time to identify trends, issues, and opportunities.

Capture and maintain accurate data within trackers and reporting tools.

Monitor forecasts and operational performance against targets.

Investigate risks, performance gaps, and missed targets, communicating findings to the Lead Technician.

Support proactive decision-making through timely reporting and operational insights.

Contribute to the continuous optimisation of warehouse operations and system effectiveness.
Qualifications
What we are looking for:

Previous experience working in a data or analytics role in a warehouse environment.

Strong IT skills.

Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced automated environment.

Attention to detail and a problem solving mind-set.

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
