HGV Class 2 Driver Required
We're recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced HGV Class 2 (Category C) Driver to join their team on a 12-week temp-to-perm basis.
This is an excellent opportunity to secure a permanent position with a well-established company that values its drivers. You'll be driving new Scania vehicles, working Monday to Friday, with excellent training and support from day one.
The Role
- Collect waste oil from garages and automotive businesses.
- Transport and safely tip waste oil at authorised disposal facilities.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and complete all relevant paperwork.
- Provide excellent customer service at customer sites.
- Work safely and follow all Health & Safety and environmental procedures.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence.
- Minimum 1 year's HGV driving experience.
- Valid Driver CPC.
- Digital Tachograph Card.
Desirable:
- ADR Licence (preferred but not essential).
Comprehensive Training
Our client provides a structured induction programme to help you settle into the role.
- Week 1: Shadow an experienced driver, learning routes, procedures and customer requirements.
- Week 2: Drive while accompanied by an experienced driver, receiving hands-on coaching and support.
Pay & Benefits
- £15.50 per hour (PAYE).
- Overtime paid at £23.25 per hour after 55 hours.
