Nursery Manager

An exciting opportunity to lead an established and much-loved nursery.
We are looking for an experienced and inspiring Nursery Manager to lead our 150-place nursery in Gidea Park, Romford.
A unique opportunity to take over from our current Manager, who is retiring after 28 years of service. They leave behind a strong team and a nursery with an excellent reputation in the local community.
The Role
As a nursery Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring high standards of care, education and safeguarding. You will lead the team, support staff development and build positive relationships with children, families and the local community.
Key Responsibilities include:
· Leading and supporting the nursery team.
· Maintaining high standards of care, education and safeguarding.
· Ensuring compliance with EYFS and Ofsted requirements.
· Managing staffing, occupancy and budgets.
· Recruiting, developing and retaining staff.
· Building strong relationships with parents and carers.
· Supporting the continued development of the nursery.
About you
You will have:
· A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification or above.
· Experience in a Nursery Manager, Deputy Manager or similar leadership role.
· Experience preparing for and achieving a good or outstanding inspection.
· Good knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding and childcare legislation.
· Experience leading, supporting and developing a team.
· Good organisational and communication skills.
· A positive and practical approach to leadership.
· Experience managing occupancy.
