Summary of the role
- Responsibility for own case load and for a defined area of the service or a particular patient type, working without direct supervision and within clearly defined operational policies and procedures.
- Undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner, working within the ethical framework provided by the CSP/HCPC rules of professional conduct.
- Perform physiotherapeutic assessment of patients with diverse presentations, to provide a diagnosis and develop and deliver an individualised treatment programme.
Key Responsibilities
- To undertake a comprehensive assessment of patients including those with diverse or complex presentations/multi pathologies; use clinical reasoning skills and manual assessment techniques to provide an accurate diagnosis of their condition.
- Formulate and deliver an individual physiotherapy treatment programme based on a sound knowledge of evidence-based practice and treatment options using clinical assessment, reasoning skills and knowledge of treatment skills e.g., manual physiotherapy techniques, patient education, exercise prescription, electrotherapy techniques and other alternative options.
- Formulate accurate prognoses and recommend best course of intervention, developing comprehensive treatment plans.
Essential experience and qualifications
- BSc (hons) Physiotherapy degree (or on course to graduate in the near future).
- Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) membership.
- Chartered Society of Physiotherapists (CSP) membership.
- Experience of conducting initial assessments, providing diagnosis, and prescribing management plans.
- Strong English language skills (verbal, reading and writing).
- Good IT skills including word processing and experience with MS Office
- Must be located in the UK, in a commutable distance to the clinics
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £15.00-£20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 3 – 20 per week
