Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and proactive Patrol & Response Officer to ensure the safety and security of our premises. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring designated areas, responding swiftly to incidents, and maintaining a secure environment. This role requires a strong sense of responsibility, excellent observation skills, and the ability to handle emergency situations effectively. Prior experience in law enforcement, security, or military service is highly valued. The Patrol & Response Officer plays a critical role in loss prevention, surveillance, and conflict management to protect personnel and property.
You Must hold an active SIA licence and a Driving Licence
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to deter and detect suspicious activities or security breaches
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, providing appropriate action and support
- Monitor surveillance systems such as CCTV to observe activity and identify potential threats
- Enforce security policies and procedures to maintain a safe environment for staff and visitors
- Assist with conflict management by de-escalating tense situations professionally
- Perform first aid and CPR when necessary until emergency services arrive
- Document incidents accurately through detailed reports for record-keeping and follow-up
- Collaborate with local police during investigations or emergencies as needed
- Conduct loss prevention activities to minimize theft or vandalism on premises
- Maintain communication with security team members via radio or other communication devices
- Must be at least 25 years old due to vehicle insurance requirements
Skills
- Strong background in security, military service, or related fields is preferred
- Proficiency in surveillance techniques including CCTV operation and monitoring systems
- Knowledge of conflict management strategies and de-escalation techniques
- Certification in first aid and CPR is highly is required
- Ability to respond quickly and effectively during emergencies or high-stress situations
- Excellent observational skills with keen attention to detail
- Strong communication skills for clear reporting and coordination with team members and external agencies
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and discretion
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Active SIA Licence
