About the Role.
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Laundry Assistant to join our friendly team in a residential care home. You will play an important role in ensuring that residents have clean, fresh clothing and bedding while maintaining high standards of hygiene and infection control.
Key Responsibilities.
Wash, dry, iron, fold, and store residents' clothing and linen.Label and organise residents' personal laundry.Ensure laundry is returned promptly to the correct residents.Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the laundry room.Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently.Follow infection prevention and control procedures at all times.Report any damaged items or equipment faults to the appropriate person. Work as part of the care home team to provide a high-quality service.
About You.
The ideal candidate will: Be reliable, organised, and able to work independently. Have good attention to detail. Be physically able to carry out manual handling tasks. Have a caring and respectful attitude towards older people. Previous laundry or housekeeping experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
