What you’ll be doing – The Nuts and Bolts
We currently have a vacancy within our Maintenance Team here at Prestwood, based in our Prestwood Lodge care home. Your primary responsibility will be to work under the instruction of your line Manager to ensure that the home is safe, well presented and our preventative planned maintenance is carried out. Tasks can be as simple as changing a light bulb or being involved in refurbishment projects. We do not expect the applicant to know everything and the most important value is a friendly and pleasant nature.
The ideal applicant will:
- Be capable of providing a multi-skilled building maintenance service
- Have good communication skills
- Be enthusiastic
- Be able to demonstrate the ability to work on own initiative
- Be pro-active
- Work well within our existing team
- Be reliable, have a good record of attendance and an excellent, positive attitude
- Attend training sessions when requested
The successful candidate will require an Enhanced DBS check (the cost will be covered by the candidate).
The role is for eighteen hours a week and can be worked over a 7 day period.
