Salary: £12.50–£14.50 per hour depending on experience + performance incentives
Hours: Flexible part-time hours, with the opportunity to progress towards 40 hours per week
Contract: Zero-hours initially, with potential for permanent progression

We are looking for a Retail Sales & Store Assistant to join our Ellesmere Port team. This is more than a traditional retail role. Alongside serving customers and driving sales, you'll have the opportunity to get involved in store promotions, local marketing, social media content and brand activity.
We're looking for someone who is confident speaking to customers, commercially minded, reliable and interested in developing their career within retail.

What You'll Be DoingCustomer Service & Retail Sales
- Welcome customers and create a friendly, professional shopping experience.
- Understand customer needs and provide appropriate product information.
- Recommend suitable products, accessories and alternatives based on customer requirements.
- Build strong relationships with regular customers and encourage repeat business.
- Process sales and payments accurately using the POS system.
- Handle customer questions, feedback and complaints professionally.
- Support the achievement of daily, weekly and monthly sales targets.
Store Operations
- Keep the store clean, organised, well-presented and fully stocked.
- Assist with stock deliveries, stock rotation and inventory checks.
- Maintain high standards of merchandising and product presentation.
- Follow company procedures for cash handling, opening and closing the store.
- Help create an attractive and professional retail environment.
Marketing & Social Media
- Support in-store promotions, product launches and seasonal campaigns.
- Help create engaging photos, videos and other social media content.
- Support the day-to-day management of the store's social media presence.
- Contribute ideas for local marketing campaigns and customer engagement.
- Help promote store events, offers and new product launches through approved channels.
- Represent GreetVape professionally during local promotional activities and partnerships.
You don't need to be a professional content creator. If you're confident using Instagram, TikTok, Facebook or other social platforms and enjoy creating engaging content, we'd love to hear from you.
Compliance & Customer Safety
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Complete required age-verification checks.
- Follow UK regulations relating to vaping products and responsible retailing.
- Complete company training to ensure you understand product, compliance and customer-service requirements.
What We're Looking ForEssential
- Previous experience in retail, sales, hospitality or customer service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive, confident and approachable personality.
- Strong customer-service skills.
- Comfortable working towards sales and performance targets.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team.
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.
- Basic digital and social media skills.
Desirable
- 2+ years' retail or customer-service experience.
- Previous experience in vape, convenience, lifestyle or specialist retail.
- Knowledge of vaping products and accessories.
- Experience using a POS/till system.
- Experience creating social media content.
- Experience supporting promotions or local marketing activities.
- Previous experience working towards sales KPIs.
