Overview
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Joiner/Multi-Trade Carpenter to carry out reinstatement works following an insurance claim.
This is a labour-only role, with all materials supplied. The property is currently vacant, as the homeowner has temporarily moved out, allowing uninterrupted access throughout the ground floor .
The successful applicant will be expected to work to a high standard, take pride in their workmanship, and treat the property with the same care and respect as if it were their own.
Responsibilities
- Supply and fit laminate flooring throughout the property.
- Install matching edging, trims and thresholds.
- Refit existing kitchen base units.
- Install additional new kitchen units.
- Measure, cut, butt and scribe new worktops for a professional finish.
- Fit a new kitchen sink and reconnect worktop cut-outs ready for plumbing.
- Fit new kickboards/plinths, end panels, handles and associated kitchen finishing items.
- Ensure all works are completed to a high standard in accordance with the agreed specification.
- Leave the work area clean and tidy at the end of each day.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience as a Joiner/Carpenter with kitchen fitting experience.
- Confident fitting laminate flooring and complete kitchen installations.
- Own tools and transport.
- £5 million Public Liability Insurance.
- CIS Registered.
- Ability to work independently and solve problems on site.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Experience working in customers' homes with a professional and courteous manner.
- Reliable, punctual and able to complete works within the agreed programme.
Desirable
- Multi-trade experience (basic plastering, tiling or other finishing trades) would be advantageous.
- Experience carrying out insurance reinstatement works.
