Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Foundation Learning Sports Tutor to inspire and support learners on their educational journey. In this vital role, you will deliver engaging lessons, foster a positive learning environment, and help students develop essential skills to succeed academically and personally.
Responsibilities
- Deliver dynamic and inclusive Foundation Learning sessions with a sport and physical activity focus, alongside core skills such as English, IT and practical/vocational learning.
- Plan engaging lessons that use sport to develop learners’ confidence, communication, teamwork, resilience and leadership skills.
- Assess learners’ progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and adapting teaching approaches to meet individual needs.
- Support learners to develop essential skills for education, employment and everyday life.
- Organise practical sporting activities and sessions that encourage participation, teamwork and personal development.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress and assessments in line with organisational standards.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff to develop effective learning and support plans.
- Foster a positive, respectful and inclusive environment that encourages learners to participate and achieve.
- Support learners with progression towards further education, training or employment.
Skills
- Strong proficiency in English language instruction with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Knowledge of practical trades such as plumbing or related vocational skills is desirable.
- Proven experience in teaching or tutoring within an educational or training setting.
- Excellent communication skills to engage learners of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
- Competence in IT tools for lesson planning, student tracking, and delivering digital resources.
- Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple learners’ needs and maintain accurate documentation.
- Passion for education with a motivating attitude that inspires confidence and enthusiasm among students.

Pay: £21,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
