Animal Care Auxiliary – Penketh, Grappenhall, Halton View
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to work in our Maple branches. The role will be focused on client care and assisting the Veterinary Surgeon or RVN with duties including restraint of patients and laboratory tests. They will be responsible for maintaining a high level of cleanliness, all reception duties, insurance forms, weekly debtor’s lists, amongst other tasks. The right candidate will be responsible for opening and closing of the branches and communicating with the teams at our other branches and main hospital. Weekend shifts will be covered at the main site in St Helens.
Branches
Our Maple branches include Penketh and Grappenhall in Warrington, and Halton View in Widnes. Our main Hospital is in St Helens offering 24/7 support.
Hours
40 hours per week with 1 Saturday in 4 time given back in lieu and 1 paid Sunday in 4
Mon – Fri – range of shifts covering 8:30am to 6:30pm across the Maple sites
Weekends will be 1 full weekend (Saturday and Sunday) in 4 at the main hospital range of shifts, 7am-3pm, 8:30am-4:30pm or 10:30-6:30pm.
Bank holidays will be on a rota basis, minimum of 1 per year, based at our main hospital in St Helens
Cover at other surgeries may also be required, some flexibility is needed.
Candidate
The right candidate will have a passion for delivering high standards of care to our clients and their pets. Must have a full driver’s licence and be able to work as part of both a large and small team.
