Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Waiter to join our vibrant hospitality team. Duties
- Welcome guests warmly and guide them to their tables with professionalism.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are noted.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness.
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities.
- Check in with guests during their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns promptly.
- Handle payments accurately using the POS system, providing correct change and receipts.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of service areas, including tables, side stations, and dining rooms.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any issues swiftly.
- Follow all food safety regulations and hygiene standards diligently.
- Assist in setting up dining areas before service and clearing after closing hours.
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is advantageous but not essential as training will be provided.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques is desirable.
- Familiarity with serving procedures, guest services, and upselling techniques will be beneficial.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tables efficiently under pressure.
- Good communication skills, with an emphasis on courteous interaction with guests and team members.
- Basic maths skills for handling bills, payments, and cash handling accurately.
- Experience working in a busy kitchen environment or culinary background can be an asset but is not mandatory.
