JDI Legal are currently working with a commercial law firm who are looking to make a hire of office manager in their beautiful and modern Newcastle city centre offices.
This role could be full time or part time and will involve working closely with several partners on a range of issues including HR, Health and Safety, Compliance, recording staff absences and holidays, insurance and practising certificate renewals etc.
The role will sit between partners and support staff and will be the point of contact for all staff within the office. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, highly organised, have a can do attitude, resilient and reliable member of the team.
Its a fantastic opportunity for someone with a heavy administrative / office management / operations background and familiar with a lot of the working practices. The role will be mostly based onsite and in the office.
The partners are willing to consider full and part time hours, depending on the individual and their skillset.
This is a very varied, busy role which requires applicants to have a practice management background and specifically within legal. It will be based onsite and involve but not limited to :
· To manage the day to day operations of the business
· Assisting the management team with implementation of the firms plans
· Attendance at management meetings and preparation of minutes and agendas
· The renewal of annual Professional Indemnity Insurance and other Insurances
· The renewal of annual Practicing Certificates (Solicitor and CILEx)
· Assisting with the monitoring and ensuring regulatory compliance, specifically including compliance with the SRA’s Standards & Regulations, Anti-Money Laundering legislation etc
· Supporting the management team with a range of management and administration duties
· HR, staff inductions and support with recruitment.
· Data Protection/GDPR
· Management of Administrative Employees
· Health and Safety
· Recording Training and Development
· Liaising with suppliers and contractors, development effective relationships and ensuring good value and service
Candidates MUST have:
· 2 Years minimum Office / Practice Management experience within the legal sector
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills
· IT literate and capable
· Reliable, loyal and hardworking
· Positive attitude
These roles tend to be quite sparse but a fantastic opportunity to join a secure and progressive commercial firm. Full and part time hours would be considered depending on the individual and what they can bring to the role.

Pay: £34,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
