We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Senior Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
- Utilise accounting software such as Sage to maintain financial records.
- Perform data entry tasks related to financial transactions, reconciliations, and ledger updates.
- Assist with month-end closing procedures and prepare relevant reports for management review.
- Support the utilisation of Sage for various accounting functions and reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accuracy in financial data and compliance with organisational policies.
- Maintain organised records of all financial transactions in accordance with company standards.
- Contribute to process improvements within the accounts department to enhance efficiency.
- Bank reconciliations
- VAT understanding
- Maintain Company processes
- Sales Ledger including Credit Control
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with accounting software including Sage
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial services operations.
- Excellent data entry skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Prior experience in a similar senior accounts role or within a finance team is preferred.
- Familiarity with financial reporting standards and organisational compliance requirements.
- Organised, proactive, and able to prioritise tasks effectively within a fast-paced environment.
