Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Painter and Decorator to join our team for comprehensive interior and exterior painting projects. This role involves transforming residential spaces with high-quality interior house painting, as well as refreshing exterior windows and surfaces. Duties
- Prepare interior walls, ceilings, and surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling holes, and taping to ensure a smooth finish
- Apply primer, paint, varnish, or other finishes to interior walls, ceilings, doors, trims, and exterior windows with attention to detail
- Ensure all exterior surfaces are properly prepared before painting for durability and aesthetic appeal
- Use appropriate tools and techniques to achieve clean lines and professional-looking results on both interior and exterior surfaces
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members to understand project requirements and provide updates on progress
- Maintain a safe work environment by following health and safety guidelines at all times
- Complete ongoing projects efficiently while adhering to quality standards and deadlines
Skills
- Proven experience in construction painting and decorating with a strong portfolio of completed projects
- Ability to operate various painting tools, ladders, scaffolding, and safety equipment confidently
- Valid driving license preferred for transportation between sites
- Excellent communication skills in English to understand instructions clearly and collaborate effectively with team members and clients
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on achieving high-quality finishes
- Good physical stamina for prolonged periods of standing, bending, climbing ladders, or working at heights
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to working with paints, solvents, and scaffolding
