NHS Golden Jubilee is seeking a Recruitment Assistant to join our Recruitment Team and help deliver a high-quality, customer-focused recruitment service that supports our growing and diverse workforce.
In this key role, you will support the full end-to-end recruitment process, ensuring a smooth and positive experience for both candidates and hiring managers. From preparing and advertising vacancies to arranging interviews, issuing contracts, and coordinating pre-employment checks, you will be central to ensuring recruitment activity is delivered accurately, efficiently, and in line with NHS Scotland policies.
This is a fast-paced and varied role that requires excellent administrative skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities. You will work closely with colleagues across HR and the wider organisation, providing timely updates, maintaining accurate records, and delivering a consistently high standard of customer service. This post operates on a hybrid working model, combining office-based and remote working
Key responsibilities include:

Preparing job packs and advertising vacancies

Supporting hiring managers with shortlisting and interview arrangements

Preparing and issuing contracts of employment

Coordinating and monitoring pre-employment checks, including references and PVG

Maintaining accurate records and reporting using HR systems

Providing responsive and professional customer service to candidates, managers, and staff
We are looking for someone who:

Has experience in a recruitment or HR administrative role

Is confident using recruitment and HR systems such as Jobtrain, eESS, and Docman

Demonstrates excellent communication skills and handles confidential information appropriately

Has an understanding of NHS Scotland recruitment procedures and terms and conditions (desirable)

Works effectively both independently and as part of a supportive team
