We're growing our team at Scrubs Lane, London and are looking for a reliable Trade Counter Sales Assistant / Yard Operative to become an integral part of our busy branch team.
The Role
As a Trade Counter Sales Assistant / Yard Operative, you'll work across both the trade counter and yard, helping to deliver excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the branch.
Responsibilities
Assisting customers face-to-face, over the telephone, and in the yard
Processing sales enquiries and orders accurately
Building strong relationships with trade and retail customers
Supporting branch sales growth and helping exceed targets
Providing a fast, friendly, and efficient customer experience
Assisting with stock control and replenishment
Supporting other branch operations as required
Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised working environment
What We're Looking For
Building products knowledge or builders' merchant experience (preferred)
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to build and maintain customer relationships
Comfortable using computer-based sales systems (full training provided)
Professional and confident telephone manner
Friendly, articulate, and customer-focused approach
Proactive attitude towards sales and business growth
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Working Hours
Week 1
Monday to Friday
6:30am - 3:30pm
Week 2
Monday to Friday
6:30am - 3:30pm
Saturday
7:00am - 11:00am
