An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and enthusiastic Applied Psychologist (Clinical or Counselling) to join our Neuropsychology Service within the Shropshire Community Neurological Rehabilitation Team, based in Shrewsbury.

This role offers the successful applicant the opportunity to manage a specialist caseload, delivering high‑quality psychological assessment and intervention for adults adjusting to life following acquired or traumatic brain injury, as well as a range of neurological conditions. You will work therapeutically with individuals experiencing cognitive, emotional, behavioural, and psychosocial changes, helping to support recovery, adjustment, and quality of life.
The postholder will also provide specialist psychological advice, consultation, and training to colleagues and other professionals within the multidisciplinary team, contributing to integrated and holistic care.
In addition, there will be opportunities to contribute to service evaluation, audit, research, and policy development. The role includes offering appropriate clinical and/or research supervision, supporting the development of peers and less experienced psychologists, and actively promoting psychologically informed practice across the service.
You will join a friendly, supportive, and dynamic team of psychological professionals, working closely with Consultant Clinical Psychologists and fellow Psychologist colleagues. The wider multidisciplinary team includes specialist Neuro Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, and Neuro Physiotherapists, ensuring a collaborative and comprehensive approach to neurorehabilitation.
