Role Overview
Our Surveyors provide technical or professional expertise and advice to internal and external customers. They are expected to give support to our front line teams, and work closely with our senior leaders to deliver great services across the organisation. They will provide key support in the implementation of policy and procedure and may manage service delivery teams or individuals.
Key Responsibilities
- Work as part of the Repairs and Asset Team to provide a comprehensive and effective high quality generic surveying service that includes; Responsive repairs, Voids, Damp and Mould, Disrepair and Planned maintenance.
- Applying technical knowledge and drawing on experience to ensure that works programmes and managed work streams are cost effective and of a high standard.
- Delivering the planned capital/cyclical works programme(s) including pre and post inspections, preparing specifications / drawings, preparing tenders, managing works in progress, resident consultation, and ensuring work is H&S complaint.
- To contribute to the supervision of contracts for responsive repairs, voids, disrepair, Damp and Mould, Planned /cyclical works and servicing to ensure quality of work and response times are contractually compliant.
- To be responsible for the control and monitoring of expenditure of allocated work programmes and contracts, as required, and directed.
- To carry out weekly contractor’s invoice reconciliation and take necessary actions to address anomalies
- Ensure the organisations stock condition database is kept up to date and contributes to the asset management strategy.

What we are looking for.
- Degree or other relevant professional qualifications/certification in Building Construction/Surveying or equivalent.
- Experience of managing capital planned and cyclical programmes from inception through to completion.
- Project management – in-depth understanding and practical experience of project management principals and implementation.
- Awareness of Health and Safety and compliant requirements including CDM regulations.
