We are now looking for a dedicated and experienced Deputy Care Manager to support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the service and help lead our growing team.
The Role
As Deputy Care Manager, you will play a key leadership role, ensuring safe, effective, and compassionate care delivery while supporting staff to thrive.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the Registered Manager in compliance with CQC standards
- Supervising, mentoring, and supporting care staff
- Assisting with care planning, risk assessments, and reviews
- Supporting recruitment, inductions, and ongoing training
- Managing day-to-day operational tasks and problem-solving
- Building strong relationships with clients, families, and professionals
- Supporting audits, quality assurance, and continuous improvement
- Acting as Manager in their absence when required
About You
We’re looking for someone who is organised, compassionate, confident, and proactive, with a strong understanding of home care services.
Essential:
- Experience in a senior care role (Senior Carer, Team Leader, Deputy Manager)
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (Level 4/5 desirable or willingness to work towards)
- Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and care standards
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
- Experience in domiciliary care
- Experience with audits, supervisions, and staff development
- Passion for high-quality, person-centred care
