Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Full‑Time Functional Skills Maths & English Tutor and Educational Lead to inspire learners and lead educational initiatives within our organization. This dynamic role combines hands-on tutoring with strategic leadership, ensuring learners develop essential skills in Maths and English while fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment. Duties
- Deliver engaging, tailored tutoring sessions in Maths and English to learners of diverse backgrounds, including those with special educational needs.
- Assess learners’ current skill levels, set achievable goals, and track progress through regular evaluations.
- Develop and implement innovative lesson plans that meet individual learning styles and needs, ensuring clarity and understanding.
- Foster a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages participation, confidence, and motivation among all students.
- Lead educational programs and initiatives aimed at improving functional skills across the organization’s learner community.
- Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and stakeholders to enhance curriculum delivery and learner support strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress reports, and achievement milestones in compliance with organizational standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching Maths and English at various levels, with a focus on functional skills development.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with learners of all ages, including children and individuals with special educational needs.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
- Experience working with children or young people in educational or community settings is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of special education principles and inclusive teaching practices to support diverse learners.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to plan lessons, monitor progress, and maintain detailed records.
