Bar Manager | Premium Cocktail & Events Venue
Location: Lock 91, Manchester
Salary: £30,000–£35,000 DOE + Performance Bonus + Tips
Lock 91 is one of Manchester's most unique independent venues.
Set within a beautifully restored 19th-century lock keeper's cottage, we combine premium cocktails, private hire, weddings, live music and unforgettable events across three distinctive spaces.
We're looking for an experienced Bar Manager to help lead our team and continue raising the standards we're known for.
This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll be expected to lead from the front, inspire your team, deliver exceptional customer experiences and maintain outstanding operational standards every single day.
What you'll be doing
- Leading daily bar operations.
- Delivering exceptional customer service.
- Coaching, developing and motivating the team.
- Managing rotas and labour budgets.
- Recruiting and training new team members.
- Maintaining exceptional cleanliness and presentation standards.
- Stock ordering, stock control and minimising wastage.
- Monitoring GP and identifying opportunities to improve profitability.
- Ensuring licensing, health & safety and compliance standards are maintained.
- Supporting weddings, private hire and special events.
- Working alongside the owners to continuously improve the venue.
We're looking for someone who
- Has at least 2–3 years' management experience within a premium cocktail bar or late-night hospitality venue.
- Has strong cocktail knowledge and a genuine passion for quality drinks.
- Is confident leading busy services.
- Can build and develop high-performing teams.
- Understands the commercial side of hospitality, including GP, labour and stock control.
- Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Leads with positivity, professionalism and integrity.
