Job Summary
We are seeking a Quality Manager for our UKAS accredited materials testing laboratories. Must be knowledgeable in the requirements of ISO 17025 and previous experience of working within a construction materials testing laboratory would be highly advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Maintenance of the management system to comply with ISO 17025
- Managing internal audit system, and completing audits of both materials technicians and also the management system
- Completing internal calibrations and uncertainty of measurements
- Organising all external calibrations
- Organising and analysing all proficiency testing
- Recording and overseeing non conforming work, corrective actions and risks and opportunities
- Control of subcontractors/suppliers registers
- Control of all records, including accommodation/environmental records, technical procedures, calibration procedures, training records, UKAS publications and BSI standards.
- Training of technicians in materials testing test procedures
- Checking test results and authorising test certificates
- Taking calls from clients, booking in testing, preparing quotes and replying to emails on a daily basis.
- Assisting the Laboratory Manager in day to day operations
Salary negotiable depending upon experience.
40 Hours Per Week (occasional overtime is required)
