About Nuwairah’s
Nuwairah’s is a busy restaurant and takeaway specialising in Japanese and Mexican-inspired fusion food. We operate from locations in Harlow and Bishop’s Stortford.
Our kitchens prepare sushi, hot Japanese dishes, burritos, tacos, burgers, fried chicken and other freshly made restaurant and takeaway meals.
We are looking for reliable and enthusiastic Trainee Chefs who want to learn, develop practical kitchen skills and build a career in hospitality.
Previous professional kitchen experience is helpful but not essential, as full training will be provided.
Main Responsibilities
- Assist chefs with food preparation and cooking.
- Learn to prepare Japanese, Mexican and fusion dishes.
- Prepare vegetables, sauces, rice, meat, chicken and other ingredients.
- Help prepare restaurant, takeaway and delivery orders.
- Follow recipes, portion sizes and presentation standards.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working area.
- Follow food hygiene, allergen and health and safety procedures.
- Check stock levels and rotate ingredients correctly.
- Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties.
- Work efficiently during busy service periods.
- Support the kitchen team wherever required.

- Able to travel reliably to either the Harlow or Bishop’s Stortford location.
- Previous restaurant, takeaway or kitchen experience is an advantage but is not required.
