Job Summary
We are seeking a customer focused skilled and experienced Mechanic. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicle types ( engine rebuilds, BMW minis 2003 onwards, Modifications and more exciting projects) to ensure optimal operational efficiency. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional with a strong background in mechanical repairs, servicing, car builds and maintenance. The ideal applicant will possess a proactive approach, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.
Shift schedule
Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5pm Lunch 1pm for 30 mins

Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of machinery and vehicles to identify faults or potential issues.
- Perform repairs, replacements, and maintenance tasks on engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, and other mechanical components. Performing test runs to check repairs (full drivers licence required).
- Installing and fitting new vehicle accessories.
- Ability to work on custom builds.
- Some knowledge of auto electrics but not necessary as we do have a dedicated auto electrician on staff.
- Use specialised tools and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot complex problems accurately.
- Maintain detailed records of all repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities in accordance with company standards.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
- Assist in the installation of new equipment or machinery as required.
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members when necessary to promote best practices.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Mechanic within a similar environment, ideally with experience working on diverse vehicle types.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, diagnostics, and repair techniques.
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools and software is highly desirable.
- Experience with timing chains (desirable), cam belts, engine rebuilds, brake systems, clutches, suspension repairs, gear boxes. We can provide training on timing chains.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
- Relevant qualifications such as City & Guilds or NVQ in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent are preferred but not essential for highly experienced candidates.
