Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanic to join our team. As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various vehicles and equipment. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits working on our own fleet of commercial vehicles & trailers which consist mainly of Mercedes.
Duties:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as Inspections, MOT prep & Defects
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on vehicles and equipment
- Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential problems
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot issues
- Maintain accurate records of all repairs and services performed
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and guidelines
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Mechanic or similar role
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems and components
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Physical stamina to perform manual labour tasks
- Valid driver's license ( LGV class 1 preferred but not essential)
