Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the organisation’s procurement and sourcing strategy
- Lead strategic purchasing across major products, services, and supplier categories
- Identify, assess, and appoint suitable domestic and international suppliers
- Negotiate high-value contracts, pricing structures, service terms, and commercial agreements
- Establish procurement budgets, savings targets, and performance objectives
- Monitor supplier quality, delivery performance, pricing, and contractual compliance
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with strategic suppliers and business partners
- Lead competitive tendering, supplier selection, and contract renewal processes
- Identify supply chain risks and develop appropriate contingency plans
- Review purchasing data, market conditions, and supplier cost movements
- Work with finance teams to monitor expenditure, forecasts, and procurement savings
- Coordinate with logistics and operations teams to maintain reliable product availability
- Improve procurement policies, approval procedures, and supplier-management systems
- Ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies and applicable regulations
- Introduce responsible and sustainable sourcing practices where appropriate
- Lead, coach, and develop procurement and sourcing team members
- Prepare procurement reports and strategic recommendations for senior leadership
- Support business expansion, new supplier development, and operational improvement projects
What We Are Looking For
Experience
- Eight or more years of experience in procurement, sourcing, purchasing, supplier management, or supply chain operations
- Significant experience in a senior procurement or sourcing leadership position
- Proven success negotiating high-value supplier contracts and commercial agreements
- Experience managing procurement budgets, cost-saving programmes, and supplier performance
- Experience leading and developing procurement or purchasing teams
- International sourcing or multi-category procurement experience is strongly preferred

- Strong strategic procurement and commercial management abilities
- Advanced negotiation and contract-management skills
- Excellent supplier relationship and stakeholder-management capabilities
- Strong understanding of procurement budgets, pricing, margins, and cost analysis
- Ability to identify and manage supplier, contractual, and supply chain risks

- Strong analytical, reporting, and decision-making abilities
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Proficiency with procurement systems, Microsoft Office, and reporting tools
- Professional and confidential approach to commercial information
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving business environment
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business, Finance, Logistics, or a related subject preferred
- Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply qualification or membership is advantageous
- Substantial relevant leadership experience may be considered in place of formal qualifications
Pay: £85,000.00-£98,000.00 per year
