CSC Services are a specialist contractor working with several UK Water authorities on their AMP 8 repair frameworks. Works include but are not limited to Ground Works, Concrete Repair, Waterproofing and Specialist Coatings to concrete service reservoirs and other above and below ground structures. CSC Services also work across Sectors supporting clients on various infrastructure projects .
If you are the high performing Commercial Manager/Quantity Surveyor we are looking for, you will have estimating and contractual knowledge, and a background in Civils, Concrete repair, Waterproofing and/or Protective Coatings or related disciplines. You may even be working in an organization which doesn’t give you the chance to shine and you are hungry for that opportunity.
We need an ambitious, driven go-getter to join our growing team and enable us to complete projects in a way that adds to the long-term growth of the business.
With a professional Quantity Surveying Qualification and significant demonstrable experience you will have the competence and ability to work across industries/sectors. From visiting sites and taking measurements, you will be controlling projects and working as part of our commercial team to develop tenders. You will be pricing frameworks that will range from public sector, Utilities and beyond, so will need some experience but more importantly an ability to adapt, develop and grow with us!

Requirements/capabilities:
- Experience as a quantity surveyor – in-depth knowledge of construction costs, contractual issues, legal issues
- Experience of Construction, concrete repair, groundworks and/or protective coatings industry
- Produce, submit and agree monthly applications to Client
Overview of role:
- Produce detailed, accurate quotes
- Ensure the costs for all current projects are kept up-to-date
- Provide input into contractual discussions involving costs, extensions of time, liquidated damages etc
- Liaise with architects, clients, site teams and other professionals
Ideal additional aspects of role:
- Project management support - produce and keep up-to-date project programmes using MS Project / Excel
- We want someone who is willing and able to step outside the standard QS role and pitch in with other aspects of management in the company – project management, financial analyses, whatever needs doing
Requirement of the role
- Understanding drawings
- Liaising with site managers/teams, clients, structural engineers and other specialist trades, etc
- Keeping track of cost and spec variations throughout projects
- Having good computer skills – MS Office, MS Project
- Being organised, hard-working and having the adaptability to work in a small team
- Full UK driving licence
Pay: £70,000.00-£80,000.00 per year
