With a reputation for quality craftsmanship and a commitment to exceeding client expectations, we are seeking a skilled Joiner/Carpenter to join our team and contribute to our growing success.
Job Description:
As a Joiner/Carpenter specializing in HMO conversions at Watts & Co, you will play a vital role in turning standard residential properties into functional and compliant HMOs. You will work closely with our project managers, site managers, and fellow tradespeople to ensure that all carpentry and joinery aspects of the conversion projects are completed to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Carpentry Expertise: Utilize your expert carpentry skills to construct, repair, and install a wide range of wooden components, including full first and second fix joinery and kitchen fitting.
HMO Compliance: Ensure that all carpentry work meets the regulatory requirements for HMO conversions, including fire safety, sound insulation, and accessibility standards.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with other tradespeople and project managers to ensure seamless coordination and timely completion of HMO conversion projects.
Materials Management: Oversee the procurement and management of carpentry materials, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality control.
Quality Assurance: Maintain a keen eye for detail and uphold the highest standards of workmanship, consistently delivering top-quality carpentry and joinery work.
Safety: Prioritize safety on the job site by following all safety protocols and guidelines, and ensure the safety of your team and yourself at all times.
Documentation: Accurately document all work performed, including materials used, measurements, and any deviations from the original project plan.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a joiner/carpenter in domestic property
- Strong understanding of regulations and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver's license.
- Relevant carpentry and joinery certifications and qualifications.
