Job Overview
Padel Boutique is looking for a practical, proactive person to help run our padel club in Ashford, Surrey. The role mixes front of house with hands-on venue support — greeting guests, making coffee, smoothies and fresh juice, managing bookings and taking payments, alongside accepting deliveries, keeping courts tidy and clean, assembling and fixing things around the club, keeping the space clean and presentable, and looking after the plants. It's a varied role for someone who likes being around people, enjoys staying busy, and gets on with things without being asked. If you enjoy a bit of sport and a friendly team, you'll fit right in. Our venue is based at Ashford Sports Club, Staines TW19 7BQ with free on-site parking — a full UK driving licence is a huge plus.
About us
Padel Boutique is a new boutique padel club just launched in Ashford, Surrey. We're building something different — a warm, social, stylish space where people come for the sport and stay for the vibe. Think quality over quantity, community over corporate.
The role
A varied role mixing front of house with hands-on venue support. You'll be the face of the club when guests arrive, and the person keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes when it's quieter. A typical day might include:
- Welcoming guests and creating a friendly, relaxed atmosphere
- Making coffee, smoothies and fresh juice, and serving refreshments at the Hub
- Managing bookings on Playtomic and handling check-ins
- Taking payments via card terminal
- Renting out equipment (rackets, balls, mats) and selling merch
- Accepting and checking deliveries, unloading stock, organising the storeroom
- Hands-on jobs around the venue — assembling shelves and furniture, small fixes, helping set up for events
- Keeping the club clean, tidy and presentable throughout the day
- Watering plants and looking after the courts, Hub and outdoor areas
- Supervising the space — making sure equipment is in place, signage is right, and the venue looks the way it should
- Keeping the courts tidy, taking care of the court surface
- Helping at social events — explaining the basics of padel to newcomers, keeping the energy up
Who you are
- Genuinely warm and sociable — you enjoy making people feel welcome
- Practical and proactive — you spot what needs doing and get on with it rather than waiting to be told
- Comfortable with both customer-facing work and hands-on physical tasks
- Multitasker — you can switch from making a coffee to taking a delivery to helping a guest without losing the thread
- Involved in sport or fitness in some way (you don't need to be a padel pro, but you should get the appeal of an active lifestyle)
- Knowledge of padel is a bonus — if you've played, even better
- Some hospitality, retail or facilities experience
- Comfortable handling card payments
- Reliable, honest and happy to take ownership of your shift
- Available for a mix of weekday and weekend shifts. Shifts typically run either 8:00-16:00 or 16:00 - 23:00
- Full UK driving licence is a huge plus
- First-aid training is a huge plus
Perks
- Free court time during off-peak hours, 50% off during peak hours
- Staff discounts on equipment and merch
- Be part of something from the ground up — a tight team building a brand
