As our Lunchtime Assistant, you’ll play a vital part in the daily routine – helping serve meals, supporting children as they eat, and ensuring the nursery environment stays clean, calm, and caring throughout the lunch period. You’ll be a friendly face, a gentle helper, and someone who makes mealtimes enjoyable for everyone.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Setting up and serving lunch to children in a safe and organised way
- Helping with cleaning and tidying before and after meals
- Assisting children with feeding, table manners, and independence
- Creating a calm and friendly atmosphere during mealtimes
- Ensuring hygiene, safety, and cleanliness are maintained at all times
- Chatting with children and offering comfort and encouragement
What We’re Looking For:
- A kind, caring, and patient personality
- Reliability and a genuine love for working with children
- A good understanding of hygiene and safety (Level 1 Food Hygiene is a bonus – but training can be provided)
- Team spirit – you’ll be working alongside other staff to support our little ones
- Flexibility and a “can-do” attitude
