Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Practice Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team at Fforestfach Medical Group. This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse looking for a long‑term role within a well‑established, patient‑centred General Practice.
We are looking to fill between 30 and 37.5 hours per week, with flexibility for the right candidate(s), and we would be very happy to discuss working arrangements that suit both the successful applicant and the practice.
The successful candidate must have prior experience working as a Practice Nurse within General Practice and be competent across core practice nursing duties. Experience in cervical screening and chronic disease management is essential.
Additional desirable skills include:
- Independent Prescribing
- Minor Illness management

Fforestfach Medical Group provides care to approximately 14,000 patients and is centrally located in Swansea, serving a diverse population.

An additional Practice Nurse will complement and strengthen our existing nursing structure.
Main Duties
We are seeking a friendly, enthusiastic and highly motivated Nurse to deliver and maintain a high standard of nursing care to our patient population.

- Family Planning
- Travel Health
- Childhood and Adult Immunisations
Job Description
The successful candidate will join an established nursing team and work closely with the wider multidisciplinary team, while also being able to work autonomously.
You will be expected to work in line with practice protocols, local and national guidelines, ensuring patients receive safe, effective, and high‑quality care tailored to their individual health needs.
Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
Applicants should ideally already have the essential skills and experience required of a Practice Nurse. However, further training and support will be provided, where required, to enable the successful candidate to fully undertake the role and to develop or enhance existing skills.
