Bank Chef Required – Early Years Setting
We are looking for a reliable and experienced Bank Chef to join our nursery team in South Ayrshire, providing essential cover during holiday periods (including August) and at other times throughout the year as required.
Up to 40 hours per week on pre-agreed cover periods, with family friendly hours expected to be around 8:30am - 5:30pm.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a caring environment and takes pride in preparing healthy, nutritious meals for young children.
You will be responsible for preparing balanced meals and snacks for children aged 0–5, ensuring all dietary needs are met and high standards of hygiene are maintained at all times.
- Prepare fresh, healthy meals and snacks for young children
- Follow all allergy and dietary requirement guidelines
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised kitchen
- Carry out cleaning duties to a high standard
- Ensure compliance with all food safety procedures
- Provide flexible cover during holidays and staff absences
- Previous experience cooking for young children in a nursery or similar setting
- Strong knowledge of food allergies and special dietary requirements
- Food Hygiene Certificate required
- Commitment to maintaining excellent cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Flexibility to work on a bank/casual basis, including holiday cover
- PVG Scheme membership will be required
