Peter Douglass Platforms is an independent hire company based in Bredbury, Stockport. We are looking for a hard-working, full time IPAF certified Operator to join our team.
Job Type: Full time
Hours: Monday – Friday, from 6am – 4.30pm + Overtime
Wage: Negotiable based on qualifications and experience.
Job Role: Drive a vehicle mounted access platform and operate onsite.
You will need to be comfortable with working at height as the truck mounts have a reach of up to 31 metres. The fleet varies between Truck mounted, van mounted, tracked machines and scissor lifts.
You will be required to carry out delivery and collections of vehicles/machines from various sites.
You will need to have the ability to provide excellent customer service at all times and aim to resolve any on-site issues whenever possible. You will be required to complete all relevant paperwork in an orderly fashion. Carry out vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness, applying a clean and tidy attitude whilst taking pride in the equipment.
There is a great deal of variety in the job which requires plenty of flexibility across the duties. Whilst in the yard you will be required to clean vehicles, carry out pre delivery inspections on vehicles and general maintenance around the yard.
There will be a 3 month probationary period. After this Peter Douglass Platforms will then provide the relevant workwear.
Experience:
Experience as an MEWP Operator - essential
Confident working at height - essential
Must be able to drive a 7.5 tonne vehicle – essential
Qualifications:
HGV C2 Licence (advantageous)
IPAF 1b 3a & 3b is essential (training will be given)
CPC licence (advantageous)
