We are a well-established, upmarket bistro located in a picturesque rural village in Penistone, Sheffield, renowned for our high-quality food, welcoming atmosphere, and outstanding customer experience. We are proud to hold a 4.7 Star rating on google and we have been running as a business nearly 7 years. We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Assistant Manager to support the day-to-day running of our busy venue, working directly with the owner.
The Role
Working closely with the Owner and kitchen team, you will help oversee all aspects of front-of-house operations, ensuring guests receive first-class service while supporting and developing the team.
Key Responsibilities
Support the daily management of the bistro and its operations.
Lead, motivate, and supervise front-of-house staff.
Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve guest enquiries professionally.
Assist with staff training, and performance management.
Help manage stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships.
Ensure compliance with food safety, licensing, and health & safety regulations.
Support the management team in achieving sales and profitability targets.
Take responsibility for opening and closing procedures as required.
What We’re Looking For
Previous supervisory or management experience within hospitality.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
A hands-on approach with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to remain calm and organised in a fast-paced environment.
Passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences.
Good understanding of hospitality operations, stock control, and team management.
Personal Licence holder preferred, but not essential.
