Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate In-house Artist to join our creative team at Trowbridge Gallery in Crowborough. The ideal candidate is a multidisciplinary creator with strong printmaking expertise, a diverse artistic practice and the ability to adapt their style to suit classical, contemporary and abstract directions.
Key Responsibilities
- Artistic Production — Create original artworks across varied mediums including painting, drawing, mixed media, and fine art print processes.
- Printmaking — Produce high‑quality prints using techniques such as etching, lithography, screen printing, relief printing, or digital fine‑art printing.
- Creative Adaptability — Apply a flexible artistic style to meet the aesthetic needs of diverse collections, themes, and client briefs.
- Concept Development — Collaborate with directors to develop concepts for new series, seasonal collections, and bespoke commissions.
- Quality Control — Ensure all artwork meet the studio’s standards for craftsmanship, materials, and presentation.
- Studio Collaboration — Work closely with the creative team to reach artistic goals.
- Research & Innovation — Explore new materials, techniques, and artistic trends to keep the studio’s collections fresh and forward‑thinking.
Preferred Qualifications
- Formal training in fine art desirable, printmaking, or related disciplines.
- Experience producing work for galleries, or brands. Or experience as a freelance artist taking commissions.
- Familiarity with framing, using safe materials and museum‑grade production standards.
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
