The Role
We're looking for a Deputy General Manager at The Falcon Inn, Long Whatton — a characterful, food quality-focused village gastropub with 11 boutique hotel bedrooms.
You'll work hand-in-hand with our General Manager at a genuinely exciting time, as we grow the business locally through great food, standout service, our hotel, and a growing events offer. This is a role with real breadth — pub, restaurant, and bedrooms — and real room to make your mark.

What You'll Be Doing
- Running daily operations across front of house, food, drink, service and our 11-bedroom hotel
- Leading and developing a genuinely brilliant, close-knit team
- Working alongside kitchen leadership on quality and consistency
- Getting hands-on with GP, labour and compliance — but never losing the human touch
- Playing an active role in events, community, and growing what makes The Falcon tick
- Developing yourself — with full support from your GM and hands-on owners — towards the next step in your career
What We're Looking For
- Pub or hospitality management experience at AM level or above
- A people-first mindset — for your team and your guests
- Someone who belongs on the floor, not behind a desk
- Commercial awareness with warmth and common sense to match
- Genuine ambition — and the drive to back it up
- Food operation or kitchen experience is a strong plus; events or hotel experience a real advantage
