Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate Dentist to join our independent practice in Somerset. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in dental procedures and a passion for providing exceptional patient care. This role offers an opportunity to work in a supportive environment.
The practice is long-established, non-corporate and situated within easy commute of M5 corridor. The practice has a friendly team with fully qualified nursing support, on-site principle, experienced supportive management, and hygienist services 3/4 days a week.
You will be taking over an ongoing established diary comprising of Private, Denplan Essential and a small NHS list. UDA target of 500. There is potential to build your patient list, as demand for patients wishing to join the practice is high. The position in the first instance will be 2/3 days a week.
Responsibilities
· Perform comprehensive dental examinations and assessments, ensuring accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
· Carry out a range of dental procedures, including restorative, preventive, and cosmetic treatments.
· Interpret medical imaging to aid in diagnosis and treatment decisions.
· Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with practice policies.
· Educate patients on oral health, hygiene practices, and treatment options to promote overall wellness.
· Collaborate with dental hygienists, assistants, and other team members to ensure seamless patient care.
· Stay updated on advancements in dentistry and participate in continuing education opportunities.
Requirements
· Batchelor’s degree in Dentistry (BDS or equivalent) with valid GDC number and performer number.
· Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients.
· A commitment to providing high-quality care with attention to detail.
· Ability to work effectively as part of a team while demonstrating Initiative.
· Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience required.
