The Role
We are looking for a Despatch/Stores Operative Temp, to be an integral part of a team dedicated to the efficient running of the despatch / distribution process during an upcoming busy period. The job will entail picking orders for delivery to customers / production, taking delivery of orders, stocktaking, housekeeping and general warehouse duties. This is a physically demanding role with heavy lifting and large deliveries to deal with regularly.
You will be part of a busy team based in our Hamilton office, working Monday to Thursday 9am – 5pm, Friday 9am – 4.30pm, (37 hours per week).
Key Responsibilities:-
- Maintain good housekeeping within the warehouse and yard area
- Physical despatch, receipt and internal movement of stock in a safe and efficient manner
- Receiving goods and visual inspection of incoming goods
- Maintain accurate stock levels
- Focus on upholding work and health & safety standards
The successful candidate will ideally have gained experience in a fast-moving environment, enjoy working as part of a team and be able to demonstrate excellent attention to detail. You will also have a good general level of education, a good work ethic and be reliable & co-operative.
