Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Manager to oversee daily operations. The successful candidate will bring strong leadership skills and experience within a manufacturing environment, ensuring efficient processes, high safety standards, and consistent product quality.
This role is essential in supporting operational performance and driving improvements across the shift.
Working hours will be Monday to Friday 6am until 2pm and 2pm until 10pm on a weekly rotating pattern
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily production activities, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with health and safety standards
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team to achieve performance targets and maintain high levels of engagement
- Monitor production output and address any issues impacting performance or quality
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimise processes and reduce waste
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operational flow
- Ensure machinery and equipment are operated safely and maintained appropriately
- Support hands-on operational activity when required
- Maintain accurate records and ensure adherence to company procedures
Requirements
- Proven experience in a manufacturing or production leadership role
- Strong team management and leadership skills
- Good understanding of production processes and operational workflows
- Ability to identify and resolve problems effectively
- Mechanical awareness or experience working with machinery is advantageous
- Flexible and hands-on approach to support operational needs
