We are looking for Line Cook in a cool community pub in the heart of Wandsworth.
The Garratt Tavern offers well loved classic pub food.
We’re in need of a talented individual to join us as a Line Chef on a Full Time basis.
As part of our team, your role will be supporting in leading a warm welcoming pub that is always lively, fun, and a team with a genuine desire to please the customer. Working with passionate and energetic people, you will have a genuine interest in the local community.
About the Role
As a Cook you’ll know all there is to know about working in a fast-paced kitchen and have a natural flair for presentation. From preparation to food handling and hygiene, as well as excellent time management skills - your contribution will certainly count. Whilst working in our kitchens, you’ll find no two days will be the same and you’ll be able to develop your skills with a variety of dishes and menus.

Main responsabilities:
- Measuring out meal ingredients according to a recipe
- Prepping various ingredients such as meats and vegetables
- Cleaning up the kitchen space after cooking each meal and ensuring the prep area and kitchen is cleaned and sanitised at the end of the shift
- Maintaining a pantry stock record
- Rotating stock items as per established procedures
- Restocking the pantry and fridge or freezer as necessary
- Properly storing food items at appropriate temperatures
- Ordering new ingredients as required
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a kitchen environment
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced restaurant setting
- Previous experience in restaurant operations and serving
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
