Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plumber to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems across a variety of commercial and residential properties. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency with hand and power tools, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances in accordance with safety standards and building codes.
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and carpentry skills to complete tasks efficiently.
- Conduct inspections to identify issues with plumbing systems and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
- Perform basic maths calculations for measurements, material quantities, and system layouts.
- Assist with the assembly of plumbing components and related mechanical systems.
- Carry out heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to facilitate installation or repair work.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Ensure all work sites are kept clean, organised, and safe at all times.
- Operate commercial vehicles as required for transporting tools or materials between sites.
Requirements
- Proven experience in plumbing, welding, carpentry, or related trades is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and basic mechanical knowledge.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Strong understanding of plumbing systems and building regulations.
- Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations.
- Valid driving licence suitable for operating commercial vehicles is preferred.
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments.
- Willingness to undertake ongoing training to enhance technical skills.
