Hours: 20 per week
As a Waste Operative, you will carry out a variety of tasks, safely and professionally and to a high standard.
Duties:
- To maintain a safe and clean environment and ensure the cleanliness of the shopping centre and the service areas to a very high standard
- Emptying 1100 litre bins around service areas internal and external
- Jet washing bins
- Completing daily forms to support work carried out
- Careful usage and maintenance of equipment provided
- Compliance with all work-related Health and Safety regulations at all times
- To assist with the delivery and implementation of high-quality waste collection and segregation
- To promote and support the principles of waste minimisation and recycling, and improve environmental cleanliness
Essential Requirements:
- Enthusiastic to learn and work as part of a team
- Positive 'can do' attitude with ability to show initiative
- Excellent Customer Service skills
Desirable Requirements:
- Current FLT Licence
- Driving Licence
- Previous experience in a similar role including cleaning and use of cleaning machines
- Knowledge of recycling and waste streams
- Use of Compactor / Baler Machines
- Maintaining cleanliness in service areas using site machinery
