Conveyancing Assistant – Residential Property
Location: Ipswich
Salary: Up to £32,000 DOE
Hours: Full-time - Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm
A leading regional property law firm is looking to appoint an experienced Conveyancing Assistant/Paralegal to support a busy Residential Property fee earner 1:1 in their Ipswich office. About the Role
Working 1:1 with an experienced conveyancer, you’ll play a key part in progressing residential conveyancing matters from instruction through to completion (offering full exposure). You’ll be involved in:
- Supporting all stages of residential conveyancing transactions
- Drafting documentation, forms, and client correspondence
- Opening and closing files, including AML and compliance checks
- Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders, and solicitors
- Managing key dates, diaries, and general file administration
- Keeping accurate records within the case management system
This is a busy, hands‑on role where your organisation, accuracy, and communication skills will make a real difference.
What We’re Looking For
You’ll be someone who enjoys being the right hand to a fee earner and thrives in a structured, professional environment. Ideally you will have:
- Previous experience as a Conveyancing Assistant - 2+ years experience desirable
- A solid understanding of the conveyancing process
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
- Confident communication skills with a client‑focused approach
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively one‑to‑one
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and case management systems
