Job Introduction
Do you enjoy providing excellent customer service and creating a welcoming environment for others? Join us as a Weekend Restaurant Service Assistant and play a key role in delivering a high-quality dining experience for residents in our Extra Care scheme.
This is a rewarding role where you'll serve meals, support the day-to-day running of the restaurant and help maintain high standards of cleanliness, food hygiene and customer care. You'll work closely with the Chef Manager, assist with deliveries and stock management, and ensure residents receive a safe, friendly and professional service every weekend.
We're looking for someone who is reliable, caring and enjoys working with people. Experience in catering, hospitality, care or a customer-facing role would be an advantage, but we're equally interested in people with the right attitude, a willingness to learn and a commitment to delivering excellent service.
This is based at Charles Clore Court, Reading, RG30 3NT, working 6 hours per week on Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00am to 2:00pm.
An Enhanced DBS check is required for this role.

Must be able to commute to Charles Clore Court, Reading, RG30 3NT

Experience in a catering, hospitality, care or customer service environment would be advantageous

Ability to provide a warm, friendly and professional service to residents and visitors

Good communication and interpersonal skills

A reliable and organised approach, with good attention to detail

Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Understanding of food hygiene, health and safety or catering standards would be advantageous

Experience working with older or vulnerable people would be beneficial

GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English (Grades A*–C) would be desirable
