Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Hair Stylist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hair styling, barbering, and customer service, with the ability to deliver exceptional salon experiences. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing high-quality hair services in a welcoming environment, ensuring client satisfaction and fostering repeat business.
Duties
- Deliver a wide range of hair styling services, including cuts, colour, treatments, and specialised styles tailored to client preferences
- Perform barbering services where applicable, maintaining high standards of precision and safety
- Engage with clients to understand their needs and offer personalised recommendations for products and services through effective upselling techniques
- Manage front desk responsibilities including appointment scheduling, client check-in/out, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere
- Assist with store management duties as required, ensuring the salon remains organised and well-stocked
- Mentor junior stylists and apprentices, sharing expertise to promote team development
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in all work areas in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Build strong relationships with clients through excellent communication skills, ensuring repeat visits and positive reviews
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Hair Stylist with a comprehensive portfolio of work demonstrating versatility and skill
- Qualifications in hairdressing or barbering recognised by relevant industry bodies
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele
- Experience in store management or front desk operations is desirable but not essential
- Additional skills such as eyelash extensions, makeup application, and mentoring are highly advantageous
- Excellent communication skills to engage clients confidently and professionally
- Ability to up sell products and services tactfully to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue
- Organised with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
