We are seeking a reliable and organised Storeman to join our tool shop team. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching tools and related products while maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring the warehouse and store areas are clean, safe, and well-organised.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and accurately record incoming stock deliveries.
- Store products in designated locations and maintain an organised warehouse.
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for collection or delivery.
- Conduct regular stock counts and assist with inventory control procedures.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages or discrepancies to management.
- Load and unload delivery vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Ensure all tools and equipment are stored securely and handled correctly.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and tidy work environment in accordance with health and safety requirements.
- Assist customers and sales staff in locating products when required.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (where licensed).
- Assist with stock replenishment in the retail area as needed.
- Follow company procedures for stock management, security, and workplace safety.
Skills and Experience:Essential:
- Experience working with tools, hardware, or industrial products.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, stores, or stock control environment.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work accurately and pay attention to detail.
- Basic computer literacy for stock management systems.
- Ability to lift and move stock safely.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Full, valid driver's licence with a clean driving record.
