Commercial Solar Surveyor
Location: Scotland (Field and Office Based)
Salary : Negotiable - Hybrid options available (Salary, Commission per survey or both)

We're looking for an experienced Commercial Solar Surveyor with an electrical background to join our growing team. If you enjoy being on-site, solving technical challenges, and working with cutting-edge renewable technology, we'd love to hear from you.
What you'll be doing
As one of our surveyors, you'll be the vital link between our sales, design, and installation teams, ensuring every project starts with accurate, high-quality technical information.
Tasks will include:
- Carrying out detailed site surveys for commercial solar PV installations.
- Assessing existing electrical infrastructure, including three-phase systems, distribution boards, and switchgear.
- Survey roofs, plant areas, and installation locations, identifying opportunities and potential challenges.
- Capture measurements, photographs, and technical data using digital survey tools.
- Produce clear, accurate survey reports to support system design and project delivery.
- Identify any compliance, safety, or installation risks before work begins.
- Work closely with our design and engineering teams to deliver outstanding customer solutions.
- Represent Lime professionally when meeting customers on-site.
What we're looking for
You'll ideally have:
- Experience surveying commercial properties.
- A strong understanding of commercial or industrial electrical systems.
- Experience with commercial solar PV.
- Knowledge of BS 7671 and current electrical standards.
- The ability to interpret electrical drawings and site layouts.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Great communication skills and a customer-first approach.
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
Bonus points if you have
- Solar PV qualifications.
- Inspection & Testing qualifications.
- Experience using drones or digital surveying technology.
- Knowledge of grid connections or DNO processes.
