Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated Trainee Gas and Fireplace Installer to join our team. This entry-level position offers valuable hands-on experience in gas fire & fireplace installation, poviding a foundation for a rewarding career. The role involves supporting our senior engineer with various tasks, gaining practical knowledge of gas fire, gas stove and fireplace installation. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, enthusiasm for learning, a strong work ethic, keen interest in practical work and a proactive attitude.
Upon succesful completion of a 12 month probationary period there is a potential to further your career by completing the Domestic Gas Foundation Managed Learning Programme through Stamford Gas Training.
Pre-requisites
Trainees who lack gas training and experience will need to hold a recognised qualification in the mechanical services engineering sector (e.g. plumbing), or they will have gained a minimum of 2 GCSEs (Grade 4) in English and Mathematics.
Duties
- Assist with the installation of gas fires, stoves and fireplaces, under supervision.
- This role involves heavy lifting and working on roof tops, so you must be both fit and comfortable with working at heights.
- Use hand tools and power tools to carry out basic tasks related to fireplace installations.
- Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel to various sites is essential.
