Complex Care Assistant
Location: Minster, Thanet, Kent
Rate: £15.62- £17.52 per hour (enhanced rate for UK Public Holidays)
Contract: Zero-hours contract

We're looking for a compassionate and reliable Complex Care Assistant to support a gentleman in his 50s who is living with a spinal cord injury. With the right support, he enjoys an active lifestyle and values his independence.
In this role, you'll help him remain independent in his own home, access his local community, enjoy social activities, and continue doing the things that matter most to him. You'll become part of a small, dedicated team providing consistent, person-centred care that has a genuine impact on someone's quality of life.

Available Shifts:
Care is provided 7 days a week, with the following shifts available:
Morning: 9:00am 2:00pm
Afternoon: 2:00pm 6:00pm (temporary schedule until further notice)
Evening: 6:00pm 10:00pm
Sleep-in: 10:00pm 9:00am
We're looking for someone who can offer some flexibility to help cover annual leave and sickness within the existing care team.
The services you will deliver as a Complex Care Assistant
Every day is different, but your role may include:

Providing personal care with dignity and respect

Supporting with complex moving and handling

Administering medication
-
Preparing fresh, home-cooked meals

Supporting with household tasks

Driving the client's Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle (WAV)

Accompanying the client to appointments, shopping and social activities

Providing companionship and emotional support
-
Supporting with catheter care, stoma care and Peristeen bowel management, Autonomic Dysreflexia (beneficial but not essential as full training will be provided)
Full Training Provided
Experience with complex care is welcome, but you don't need to know every clinical skill before you start.
You'll receive specialist training and ongoing support to build your confidence in all aspects of the client's care.
Eligibility Criteria for a Complex Care Assistant:

Previous experience in a care role

A caring, patient and compassionate approach

Excellent communication skills

A full UK driving licence (essential) to drive the client's Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle (WAV)

The right to work in the UK (please note we are unable to offer sponsorship)
